We are excited to share that the 3-K and Pre-K applications for the 2024- 2025 school year will be opening January 10, 2024.
3-K: All NYC children born in 2021
Pre-K: All NYC children born in 2020
Families can apply three ways:
- Online at MySchools.nyc
- Over the Phone by calling 718-935-2009
- In Person by visiting a Family Welcome Center
After you have applied on MYSCHOOLS, please wait to hear from the Department of Education regarding the status of your application. This process may take several weeks.

Frequently Asked Questions:
1. Do you offer lunch?
Yes, all 3K and 4K students receive the DOE school food which includes a breakfast and lunch.
2. Does the 3K/4K need a uniform?
No, the uniform is optional for out 3K/4K students. If you are interested it can be purchased from Flynn and O’Hara Uniforms https://flynnohara.com/. All students should also wear comfortable sneakers of your choice, for safety.
3. If my child is enrolled in the DOE 3K/4K program can they still participate in DMCA events?
YES! We welcome everyone in our school community to join us in all events that take place at DMCA.
4. Does my child need a physical exam or updated immunizations before school begins?
Yes. Your child must have a current physical exam and all immunizations must be up to date. Our school webpage has specific information and forms to help you. This is a very important step in your child’s registration at school. These requirements come from the Department of Health and must be strictly followed.
